Minnie I. Lightcap Obituary

Sheperdstown, WV - Minnie I. Lightcap, 92, Sheperdstown, W.Va., passed away April 11, 2026.

Born Oct. 23, 1933, to the late Ira and Carrie (Emerick) Emerick, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph Lightcap; daughter, Susan Tillett; brothers, Dewey, Roger, Homer and Francis; sisters, Maretta and Janet.

Minnie is survived by her children, Deborah Cullison and Joseph Lightcap Jr.

She also has 13 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 19 great-great-grandchildren; plus, many nieces and nephews.

She loved her family more than anything and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved planting flowers and crocheting.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. at Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, 169 Clarence St., Hyndman, PA 15545.

Pastor Terry Campbell will be officiating the service, and internment will be at the Mount Zion Cemetery.
