Cumberland, Maryland - Monna Lee Porter, 93, of Cumberland, Md., passed away Saturday, April 25, 2026, at UPMC Western Maryland.

Born Aug. 25, 1932, in Ellerslie, Md., Monna was the daughter of the late Clyde Waltman and Ethel (Ritchey) Waltman. She was also preceded in death by her daughters, Rhonda Shaffer and Beverly Arnold; and her brother, Clyde Waltman Jr. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Monna attended Allegany High School, was a homemaker for many years, and was formerly employed at the New Life Shelter and Willow Valley Adult Day Care Center. She loved playing skill pool and shuffleboard, as well as completing crossword puzzles. Monna looked forward to Christmas season to buy her family gifts.

Monna is survived by her children, Terrie Rice (Larry), Donna Meeks (Jerry) and Eugene Porter (Donna); her grandchildren, Angie Winters (Vince), Misti Morgan (Kevin), Justin Arnold (Sharon), Scott Porter, Ashley Flynn, Mandy Thomas (Adam), Mark Beard (Tranea), Taylor Maiers (Katelyn), and Madison Summerfield (David); her canine granddaughter, Cora Mae; and several great-grandchildren; as well as all the great friends she made living at the Cascades.

Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, MD, www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com, on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 5 to 8 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 11 a.m., with Pastor Bruce McBride officiating. Friends will be received one hour prior.

Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
