West Salem, OH - Nancy Johanne (Growden) Jones, 85, of West Salem, Ohio, formerly of Centerville, Pa., passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Samaritan Hospital in Ashland, Ohio.

Born April 21, 1941, in Centerville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Ross Ambrose and Della (Miller) Growden. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Albert Growden and wife Betty, Colleen Virginia Oehmig and husband Clem, Donna Growden, and Patricia Growden.

Nancy was a hard worker and a dedicated employee. She did factory work for 30-plus years and finished her retirement in the bakery department at Walmart.

Nancy enjoyed reading books, watching her TV shows. She enjoyed cooking, photography and spending time with her family. Nancy was a big part of a small community at Hidden Acres Campground. Everyone who came and went knew her and adored her.

Nancy is survived by her children, Emmett Voshel and significant other Jeanie Barnett, Robert Voshel and wife Roxanne, Kenneth Voshel and significant other Stacy Strosnider, Ronald Voshel and significant other April Cross; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; siblings, James Ross Growden and wife Judy, Betty Cassell and husband Charles, Naomi Ruth Spurr and husband Robert, David Norman Growden and wife Jenny, and Kimberly Bible and husband Danny; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 15205 McMullen Highway SW, Cresaptown, MD, on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

A graveside service with Danny Bible will follow beginning 1:30 p.m. at Fellowship Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Centerville, PA, 15522. Following the graveside service, there will be a last meal, to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are directed to Scarpelli Funeral Home in honor of Nancy Joanne (Growden) Jones.
