MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Nicholas "Big Nick" Adam Thompson, 31, formerly of Cumberland, and residing in Myrtle Beach, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011. Born June 18, 1980, in Cumberland, Nick was the son of Gwendolynn Darcelle (Taylor) Thompson, Flintstone, and the late Michael Humbird Thompson. Nick was a 1998 graduate of Flintstone High School. He was employed at P.F. Chang, Myrtle Beach. Besides his mother, Nick is survived by his sister, Ericka D. Lancaster and her husband, Thomas, Cumberland; his nephew, Thomas Lancaster IV and his niece, Madison Lancaster, both of Cumberland. Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Sunday, July 31, 2011 from 3 to 5 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Monday, Aug. 1, 2011 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Troy Lingenfelter officiating.
