Cumberland, Maryland - Nita Louise Pluebell passed away on July 22, 2026, at Frostburg Rehab Center.

Born on May 23, 1953, in Washington, D.C., Mrs. Nita Pluebell was the daughter of the late Leo and Juanita Kyte. She was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby, and sister, Joyce.

Nita loved her husband and the many dogs she had throughout the years. Nita loved to read books and watch crime shows on TV. Nita took great care of the birds, cats and deer in her yard as she could watch them all from her porch each day. Nita was always "The Rock" for her husband, Bob, while helping his dreams come true. Nita's kindness and generosity to others will be missed by everyone.

Nita retired from the National Automatic Sprinklers Union where she worked as a secretary for 40 years. Nita graduated from Bladensburg High School in Maryland in 1971.

Nita is survived by her husband, Robert Pluebell, who was always there to care for her. Nita is survived by her sons and their wives, Lee and Faride, Dean and Diane, and Michael and Karen Pluebell; her grandchildren, Kevin Holmes, Jake and his wife Kayla Pluebell, Noah Pluebell, John Drury, and Christopher and Jennifer Reidel; and great grandson, James Pluebell; her brothers, Bill and Tom Kyte and her sister, Brenda "Kay" Lewis; her brother in law, Frank Pluebell and his wife, Virginia, along with their son, Francisco Pluebell, and grandnephew, Aidan; and her sister in law, Darla and her husband, Gene Canfield; and lastly her dog, Margie.

There will be no memorial services at this time. A graveside service will be held upon her husband's passing at Hillcrest Burial Park in Cumberland, Maryland.
