Patricia Ann Galbraith Obituary

Patricia Ann Galbraith, 88, formerly of Midlothian, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Dec. 18, 2023, at her Frostburg residence, she was surrounded by family the last week of her life. Born on Aug. 28, 1935, in Fall River, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Milton Brickhill and Jessie (Boyd) Brickhill.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Harold Galbraith in 1978 and three children, Robert Dale Galbraith, Joan Diaz, and Michael Galbraith. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Joan Podhidney. Pat was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Pat was a devoted member of Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, where she was part of the Sodality. For many years, she worked as a caretaker, having sat for numerous local families, as she was very compassionate, loving and kind. She loved attending church and talking about bible and Jesus. Cardinals were her favorite bird, rock and roll was her favorite kind of music, and she especially enjoyed baking. But most of all she loved her family and spending time with them, while teaching them importance of loving the Lord.

She is survived by three daughters, Dawn Diaz of Piedmont, W.Va., Brenda Coleman of Keyser, W.Va., and Ann Neilson and partner, Nathan Wilson of Frostburg; three sons, Daniel Galbraith of Frostburg, Glen Galbraith of Frostburg and Brian Galbraith of New York; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, Midland, on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023, at 11 a.m., with Fr. Eric Gauchat, OFM Cap., officiating. Friends and family will be received, from 9 to 11 a.m., at the church. Inurnment will be held at Saint Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Midland, at a later date. Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Midland is handling the arrangements.

The family would like to thank UPMC Western Maryland Home Hospice for the gentle care and support given to Pat and her family at such a difficult time.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Pat may be made to the church at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church c/o Divine Mercy Parish at 44 E. Main Street, Frostburg, MD 21532.
