Frederick, MD - Paul Douglas Brode, 86, of Frederick, passed away Monday, April 21, 2025, at his home.

Born Dec. 17, 1938, to William Jennings Brode and Edith Ruth (Yieder) Brode. He is preceded in death by his parents; grandmother, Lillie Yeider; a brother, Ronald Brode; brother-in-law, Donald Festerman; and his beloved dogs, Teddy and Teah.

Paul was retired from State Highway Administration as an auditor and a veteran of the Army Reserves at Fort Meade. He attended Eckhart Elementary, a graduate of 1956 Beall High School and attended FSU. He enjoyed antique cars, his 1960 Chevy Impala is in mint condition and a 1985 Buick Park Avenue. Paul was a fan of nascar, enjoyed watching football especially the Redskins and the Ravens.

Surviving are his wife of 60 Years, Norma (Festerman) Brode; a sister, Linda Baker; bothers-in-law, John Festerman and Allen Festerman; sister-in-law, Colleen Lashbaugh; and several nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Tesa.

Family and friends will be received Friday, April 25, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg. Funeral service will follow at 12 noon, with Fr. Scott Kady as celebrant.

Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
