Paul B. Everly
Paul Benton Everly, 71, of Mountain Lake Park, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2019, at his residence.
Born on Aug. 9, 1948, in Connellsville, Pa., he was the son of the late Carl H. and Nettie E. (Culver) Everly.
Paul proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was the founder and sole proprietor of EZ Excavating.
Paul was very active in serving his community through various organizations. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 10077, and a member of Proctor Kildow American Legion Post 71, Cumberland VVA Chapter 172, Marine Corps League, Deer Park Sportman's Club, Oakland Elks Lodge 2481 and ABATE.
His hobbies included spending time outdoors fishing, boating, snowmobiling and four wheeling. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and Steeler football on television.
Paul is survived by his fiancée, Lisa E. Sweitzer; two sons, Tim Everly of Westernport and Carl William Everly and fiancée, Christy, of Gormania; three grandchildren, Corey, Daphne Charlotte and Deanna.
Friends will be received at the C&S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. 2nd St., Oakland, on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2019, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Barbara Rexroad officiating.
Interment, with military honors, will be held in Garrett County Memorial Gardens.
A special thank you to his Marine Corps brother, John Gnegy, for his friendship and support.
