Hyndman, PA - Sides, Pauline B., beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away Feb. 6, 2026, at the age of 98. Born Nov. 7, 1927, to the late Clarence and Beryl (Harden) Eisel. She was preceded in death by husband, Charles "Tim" Sides; stepfathers, Aubrey Clapper and Herbert Croft; and stepbrother, Lytton Croft.

She was survived by children, John Sides (Gail), Stephen Sides (Karen) and Susan Sides; grandchildren, Jennifer Beyor (Nate), Matthew Sides, Stephanie Bates (Jason), Stacey Visnic (Adam) and Scott Sides; great-grandchildren, Parker, Thea and Landon Beyor, Jaxon, Reed and Sidney Visnic, and Cooper Bates.

She was a 1945 graduate of Hyndman High School. After graduation, she was accepted into the U.S. Cadet Nurse Corps (CNC) program and subsequently graduated in 1948 from the Allegheny Hospital School of Nursing. As a registered nurse, she worked as Dr. John Topper's first nurse in Hyndman, Pa., and also at Braddock Medical Group, Cumberland, Md.

Pauline lived a long and meaningful life marked by love, resilience and quiet strength. She enjoyed travel, nature, movies and people. She never met a stranger and remained interested in the lives of others, world events and interest rates until the end of her life. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of family, kindness and a memorable smile.

Family will receive friends Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, 169 Clarence St., Hyndman, PA 15545. A funeral service will be held on Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the First United Church of Christ, 112 Maple St., Hyndman, PA 15545, with the Rev. Dr. Tomislav Dosch officiating. Interment will be at the Hyndman Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pauline's church, First United Church of Christ.
