Phil R. Robison Obituary

Phil R. Robison, 78, of Tulls Hill Road, Manns Choice, Pa., died Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021, at UPMC Altoona, Blair County.

Mr. Robison was born, in Cumberland, on Dec. 7, 1942, son of the late Revanell Bennett. Phil was reared by his uncle and aunt, William Roscoe and Nola M. (Harper) Bennett.

On Dec. 9, 1967, Phil married Sonjoa (Miller) Robison.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Tonya M., wife of Charles Bost, Manns Choice; daughter, Holly F. Robison, Manns Choice; daughter, Bobbie Jo, wife of Jonathan Cook; seven grandchildren, Keith, Brody, Mitchel, Bryson, Halle, Shadie and JB; brother, William B., husband of Twila Bennett, Cumberland; sister, Janet, wife of Ronald Smith, Keyser, W.Va.; sister, NormaJean, wife of Thomas Caldwell, Keyser; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Phil was preceded in death by sister, Zula Blanche Kight.

He was a 1960 graduate of Allegany High School, Cumberland. Phil worked at Celanese in Cumberland, where he was a machinist millwright. He was a member of The Brethren Church in Cumberland.

Phil and his brother, Benny, enjoyed spending time together researching genealogy. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Phil greatly enjoyed working on cars and always had one in the garage to tinker on. He greatly enjoyed spending time at Camp Galliee in Terra Alta, W.Va., where he was a camp counselor. Phil enjoyed spending time with the children at camp and was always willing to lend a hand wherever was needed. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.
