Regina Mae Babylon Obituary

Regina Mae Babylon, age 89, of Cumberland, formerly of Sykesville, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Chamberlin Graceful Living in Cumberland.

She was born on Feb. 6, 1934, in W.Va., to the late Bernard Sybold and Ida Hardy Sybold. She was the loving wife of the late Roy S. Babylon.

Regina graduated from Fort Hill School. She worked at Springfield Hospital Center as head of the sewing room until her retirement. After her retirement, she moved back to Cumberland.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Roy C., Sr., and Marie Babylon of Cumberland; sister, Vadine Bartik of Cumberland; grandchildren, Jessica N. Barnhouse and Roy C. Babylon, Jr., and nephews, Fred and Mark. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her brother-in-law, George Bartik.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, April 10, 2023, at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.

Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Park, Sykesville.
