Ridgeley, West Virginia - Rev. Eric Ralph Ruble, 52, of Ridgeley, W.Va., passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 30, 2025 while vacationing with his family.

Born May 16, 1973 in Baltimore, Md., Rev. Ruble was the son of Jerry Ruble and Mary (Leighton) Ruble. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Dianne Lange.

Eric graduated from Baltimore Lutheran High School Class of 1991, he then earned his Bachelor's Degree from Concordia Bronxville, New York and received his Master's Degree from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Mo. He was ordained in 2002 at his home congregation of Immanuel Lutheran Church and then moved to Cumberland, Md. where he has been the Pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church for the last 23 years. Eric loved serving at Trinity Lutheran Church and sharing the Gospel of his Savior with its members whom he cared about deeply. His second love was spending time with his family, his girls were the light of his life. He loved being a cat dad. Eric never met a stranger and made friends wherever he went. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Eric truly enjoyed watching WWII documentaries and movies. He also enjoyed watching sports but mainly NFL, although his favorite teams were the Baltimore Ravens and Baltimore Orioles. He also enjoyed playing board games with his family.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his loving wife of 21 years, Amber (Lange) Ruble; his daughters, who were the light of his life, Madilyn Ruble and Claire Ruble; his brother, Edwin Ruble and wife Nicole; his sister-in-law, Aimee Last and husband Mike; his father-in-law, Eric Lange; and his nieces and nephews, Elijah, Eden, Trinity, Malachi, and Samuel.

Friends will be received at Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD (www.adamsfamilyfuneralhome.com) on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

A funeral service will be conducted at Trinity Lutheran Church, 326 N. Centre Street, Cumberland, MD on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 11 a.m. with Pastor William Stottlemyer officiating. Friends will be received at the church one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in Davis Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in his name to Trinity Lutheran Church, 326 N. Centre Street, Cumberland, MD 21502.
