Frostburg, MD - FROSTBURG [mdash] Richard Allen "Dick" Knotts, 87, of Frostburg, died Thursday, June 12, 2025, at UPMC Western Maryland, Cumberland.

Born November 16, 1937, in Leadmine, W.Va., he was the son of the late Woodrow and Virginia (Stemple) Knotts. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Donald, David and Alfred Knotts.

Dick was a truck driver for Mt. Savage Refractories, Z & M Motor Lines, and Michaels Cartage. He had also worked for Celanese Corp. for 5 years and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He was a member of Greenville Lutheran Church, charter member of the Wellersburg Volunteer Fire Dept, and was a volunteer at Rest Assured Living Center.

He is survived by his wife, Karaha Jean "Jeanie" (Wright) Knotts; one son, Kevin Knotts, Meyersdale, Pa.; two daughters, LuAnn (Robert) Klink, Frostburg; and Cindy (Greg Meyer) Knotts, Winchester, Va.; three grandchildren, Nathan (Brittany) Klink, Loren (Jamie) Klink, and Catherine Meyer; four great grandchildren, Maddox and Daniel Klink, Hadleigh and Lakyn Klink; one brother, Jacob (Joyce) Knotts, Salisbury, Pa.; one sister, Alma (Dick) Schwanke, Abingdon; two sisters-in-law, Elsie Knotts, Meyersdale, and Joyce Knotts, Berlin, Pa.

Friends will be received at the Newman Funeral Homes, P.A., 179 Miller St., Grantsville, MD, on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, from 4 to 8 p.m.

Funeral Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Tyler Graham officiating. Interment will be in Greenville Cemetery.
