Bedford, PA - BEDFORD, Pa. [mdash] Richard D. "Rick" Minnick Jr., 64, of Hyndman, passed away June 19, 2026.

Born December 6, 1961, to the late Richard Sr. and Alice (Bridges) Minnick, he was also preceded in death by granddaughter, Mickayla Detrick; and brother in-law, Roger W. Shaffer.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Janette (Gray) Minnick. He is also survived by son, Richard D. (Cindy) Minnick; grandchildren, Elliot and Ethan Minnick (who called him Pappy Pete), and Christian Wilson; two step great grandchildren; sisters, Cyndi Shaffer, Verna Burkett, and Nancy Coon; numerous nieces and nephews; and special puppies, Molly and Tilly.

Rick loved to hunt, to hunt mushrooms, to garden, and Nascar.

He also loved his family and spending time with them; he will be sadly missed.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 24, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and again on Thursday, June 25, from 11 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m. at the Harvey H. Zeigler Funeral Home, 169 Clarence Street, Hyndman PA. Pastor Caleb Shaffer will be officiating, and interment will be at the Hyndman Cemetery.
