Little Orleans, MD - Richard Dale Stevey, 58, of Little Orleans, Md., passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Oct. 30, 2025.
Rick was born Jan. 27, 1967, in Cumberland, Md. Preceding him in death was his brother, Larry Stevey Jr.
He worked as a carpenter his entire life. Rick loved all animals, and spending time outdoors fishing and just being outside. But he especially loved his time with his family and friends.
Surviving him are his wife of 31 years, Sylvia L. Stevey; his mother, Nancy Snyder; two sons, Matthew Stevey and Zachary Stevey; a grandson, Sloan Stevey; a brother, Bill Stevey and his wife Tina; many nieces and nephews; his extended family and friends; and his beloved dog, Remi.
In accordance with his wishes, he will be cremated, and a celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, MD 21502, to help offset funeral expenses.
