Cumberland, MD - Rita M. Krivak, 99, of Washington Street, died Oct. 2, 2025, at home, following a brief illness.
Rita was a delight to her daughter and caregivers, whose assistance enabled her to remain at home during her final years. A fashionable little lady, she had a vibrant spirit and will be missed for her generosity and quick wit. She was a devout Catholic and enjoyed following U.S. and world politics.
Rita was the mother of three children. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Joseph; daughter Brenda; one brother; and three sisters.
Surviving are her son John; daughter and son-in-law Debbie and Steve Meyer; son-in-law Richard Tetley; three granddaughters; two great-grandsons; and one great-granddaughter.
A chapel service will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at St. Adalbert's Cemetery, Glen Lyon, Pa., with interment to follow.
