Robert Lee Ambrose, 59, of Oakland, passed away on April 1, 2023, at Peace Healthcare at Dennett Road Manor. He was born Jan. 3, 1964, in Washington, D.C.
Robert attended the Goodwill Program in Cumberland prior to attending the Kent Retirement Day Program of Appalachian Crossroads. He then became a part of the Appalachian Crossroad family Oct. 11, 2003. Everyone who worked with Robert described him as a shining light in their day. He had a wonderful smile and a contagious laugh. He enjoyed music, celebrating holidays, and going shopping.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, from 11 a.m. to noon, at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 North Second Street, Oakland.
A funeral service will be held at noon with Pastor Carl Fike officiating.
Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
