Robert "Andy" Andrew Brodie Jr., 55, of Water Station Run Road, Lonaconing died Saturday, May 25, 2024, at his residence. Born on Nov. 14, 1968, in Cumberland he is the son of Robert Andrew Brodie Sr. and Karina Katherine (Beeman) Brodie of Lonaconing.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bob and Erma Brodie and Harry and Anna Beeman.

Andy was a graduate of Valley High School class of 1986. He furthered his education at Frostburg State University where he earned a B.S. degree focusing on Finance in 1990. He then spent 30 years working as an insurance adjuster, recently retiring from Erie Insurance. He was a member of St Peter's Episcopal Church, Lonaconing

Andy was very proud to be an Eagle Scout, having earned the title at the young age of 14. He was a member of Queen City Lodge #131 A.F.& A.M., Cumberland, where he had been Past Master. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite, the York Rite and the Ali Ghan Shriners.

Together with his parents he is also survived by his loving wife, Mary Frances (Crowe) Brodie; two step-children, Derrick Skidmore and wife Bridget of Gilmore and Samantha Skidmore of Cumberland; four grandchildren, Sophia Denise Ritchie, Christian Edward Skidmore, Merrick James Skidmore and Carmen Brooke Hartman; two brothers, William Charles Brodie and James Edward Brodie both of Lonaconing; a sister-in-law, Debbie Bennett and fiancé Steve Baker of Lonaconing; two nephews, Tyler Bennett and wife Natalie and Elliott Bennett; great-niece, Cece Bennett; and his canine companion, Baby.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 1 to 3 p.m., at Wilhelm-Eakin Funeral Home, P.A., Lonaconing. Queen City Lodge #131 A.F.& A.M. will hold a memorial service at 2:45 p.m. A funeral service will take place at 3 p.m. with Rev. Thomas Morgan officiating. Interment will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Midland. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.

Pallbearers will be: William Brodie, James Brodie, Lance Weaver, Cole Weaver, Derrick Skidmore, Tyler Bennett, David Johnson, Woody Nightingale, Fred Pritts and honorary pallbearer, his pal, Christian "Butch" Skidmore.
