Ridgeley, West Virginia - Ronald "Ron" "Ike" Edward Isner, 80, of Ridgeley, W.Va., passed away Thursday, March 19, 2026, at UPMC Western Maryland.

Born Sept. 19, 1945, in Cumberland, Md., Mr. Isner was the son of the late Charles Junior Isner and Helen Louise (Killander) Isner-Goodrich and husband Stanley; and was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Ron was a graduate of Allegany High School Class of 1963 and attended Allegany Community College. He was a United States Navy veteran, proudly serving aboard three ships: the USS Heavy Missile Cruiser Canberra CAG2, the USS Command Flagship Valcour AGF1 and the Guided Missile Destroyer USS Belknap DLG26; and serving most of his time in the North Atlantic Ocean.

Ron retired from the United States Postal Service with 35 years of service. He was a member Our Lady of the Mountains Parish, the Shrine of Saints Peter and Paul. Ron was also a member of the American Legion Post #13 and the Crossroads Sportsmen's Club.

Ron is survived by his daughter, Kelly Lynn Oaks and husband Richard; his grandchildren, Benjamin and Daniel Oaks; his former wife and friend, Nancy Fram; and numerous cousins; as well as several close friends.

Friends will be received at Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, MD, www.adamsfamilyfuneralhome.com, on Monday, March 23, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m.

A committal service will be held at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery at Rocky Gap on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 1 p.m.

Military honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Post #13 Veterans Honor Guard.
