Mount Savage, Maryland - Russell Edgar Blank, 81, of Mount Savage, passed away on Monday, Dec. 18,2023, at Devlin Manor.

Born May 11, 1942, in Mount Savage, he was the son of the late John Carl and Anna Mary (McKenzie) Blank. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Diane Blank; and grandson, Daryl Logan Blank. He was the last surviving member of his family.

Russell was a 1960 graduate of Mount Savage High School. He worked as a supervisor at the Mid-States Distributor. He loved gardening, hunting, and his animals. He was Methodist by faith.

He is survived by Russell J. Blank (Kimberly), Kennells Mills, Pa.; Brent Blank and girlfriend, Becky Slifco, Mount Savage; Tracy Rice and boyfriend, Jeff Raines, Mount Savage; grandchildren, Shelby Clise (Garrett), Zoey Myers (Jonas), Jaida McKenzie (Josh), Matthew Rice, and Kylie Rice; great-grandchildren, Rylee Clise and Miya McKenzie; and special friend and traveling companion, Bonnie Michaels.

A visitation will be held at the Sowers Funeral Home on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2023, from 6 to 8 p.m., with a Memorial service following, at 8 p.m., with the Rev. George M. Harpold officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
