Woodbridge, Virginia - Russell T. Fisher, 86, formerly of Piedmont, W.Va., passed away Feb. 23, 2026, in Woodbridge, Va.

Born May 30, 1940, Russell grew up in Piedmont and graduated in 1958 from St. Peter's High School in Westernport, Md. Following high school, he enlisted in the Army and was stationed at Fort Bragg and served in Korea.

He was preceded in death by his son, John M. Fisher; a grandson, Christian; and his brother, Eugene Fisher.

He is survived by Grace Fisher; a daughter, Tammy Fisher; and a son, Russell Jr. and his wife Tina. He also has four grandchildren, Sean, Marianna, Annette and Russell III; four great-grandchildren, Carter, Audrey, Violet and Samuel; and two sisters, Dorothy Maricle and Jane Foxx.

There will be a funeral Mass on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Divine Mercy Parish St. Peter's Catholic Church, Westernport, Md.

Burial at St. Peter's Cemetery, Westernport, will take place following the Mass.
