Hagerstown, MD - Ruth Elizabeth Miller, 82, of Hagerstown, Md., passed away at her residence on Sunday, July 6, 2025 while under the care of Washington County Hospice.

Born on December 10, 1942 in Cumberland, MD, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Hersh) Taylor. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Taylor, Jr. and Harry Taylor and two sisters, JoAnn Whisner and Bonnie Jordan.

Mrs. Miller attended the Cresaptown Elementary School, graduated from Bruce High School in 1961 and attended Allegany Community College. She was formerly employed with Pulliam's Music in Keyser, W.Va. and for most of her working life was employed for the United States Department of Agriculture in Washington, DC, the Maryland State Motor Vehicle Administration and retired from the Maryland State Assessment Office in LaPlata, Md.

Surviving is her husband of 63 years, Rev. Dr. William A. Miller; her son Aaron W. Miller of Cresaptown; three grandsons, Joshua and Andrew Miller, both of Hagerstown and Jacob Miller of Jacksonville, FL. Also surviving are five sisters, Lois Mohler of Pittsburgh, PA, Patricia Anderson of Finzel, MD, Elizabeth Perch of Austin, TX, Carolyn Shaffer of Cresaptown and Dinna Harman of Strasburg, VA.

Friends will be received at the Danville Community Baptist Church, Danville, MD, on Saturday, July 12, 2025 from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 12 p.m. with Rev. Dr. William A. Miller and Pastor Aaron W. Miller conducting the service. A reception for all family and friends will be held following the service in the church fellowship hall.

Private interment will be in the Dawson Cemetery, Dawson, MD.
