Samuel G. Brooks
FROSTBURG - Samuel G. Brooks, 82, of Frostburg, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. His loss came too soon and unexpectedly, and he will be sadly missed by his family and all who know him.
Born Oct. 12, 1937, he was the son of the late George and Olive Brooks.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Norma (Evans) Brooks, who was the love of his life; six children, whom he loved dearly, sons, Doug Brooks, Jamie Brooks and wife, Christy, Blaine Cutter and wife, Barbara; daughters, Dottie Morgan, Jackie Rinehart and husband, Donnie, Stephanie Cesnick and husband, Gene; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brothers, George Brooks, Homer Brooks and wife, Bonnie; and sister, Joy Reiber.
Sam worked at Westvaco for 47 years and proudly served his country as a Marine in the U.S. Marine Corp. He loved serving the Lord, hunting, weight lifting and watching western movies with his wife.
Family and friends will be received at Bethel Holiness Church, 20701 Bethel Drive, S.W., Lonaconing, Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020, at noon.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. with Pastor David Schoch and the Rev. Blaine Cutter Jr. officiating.
A fellowship meal will be provided immediately following the service at the church. Everyone is welcome.
