Burlington, WV - Shari Jean Rogers, 62, of Ridge Road, Burlington, W.Va., passed away on Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va.

Shari was born on April 23, 1963 in Romney, W.Va., a daughter, of Vendetta Hott of Shanks, W.Va. and the late Calvin McClure Judy, Sr. She is also preceded in death by her father-in-law, Havard Rogers.

In addition to her mother, Shari is survived by her husband of 25 years, Charles Kelley Rogers; her sons, Jason and Justin Cannon; her stepdaughter, Jessica (Rogers) O'Baker of Frostburg, Md.; two grandchildren, Jasie Rain Cannon and Elijah Justus Cannon; a brother, Robert L. Hott and his wife Sheila of Shanks; her sister, Mary Wiseman and husband John of Frostburg; and her mother-in-law, Betty Rogers of Burlington.

Throughout her life, Shari made significant contributions to her community, having been employed at CVS Pharmacy and the WV DHHR Office in Romney. Prior to that, she worked at Sani-Dairy in Cumberland, Md. Her dedication to her work and her caring nature touched the lives of many.

What truly made Shari special were the personal traits that defined her. Her family, especially her children and grandchildren, were the center of her universe, and she poured her love and support into each of them. Shari also had a deep love for animals, showing kindness and compassion to all creatures great and small.

Visitation for Shari will be held at Smith Funeral Home, Burlington Chapel on Thursday, May 15, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, May 16, 2025, at 11 a.m.

Interment will be in the Thrush Cemetery in Antioch, WV.
