Shirley L. Griffith, 88, of Cumberland Valley, Pa., died Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at UPMC Altoona Hospital. She was born on Sept. 17, 1935, in Cumberland Valley, a daughter of the late Francis and Vera (Boor) Growden. She is survived by three children, Teresa Madson and husband Charlie, of Walled Lake, Mich., Blane Griffith and wife Marsha, of Cumberland Valley, and Pam Guyer and husband Steve, of Cumberland Valley; three grandchildren, Meghan Madson, Jesse Wertz, and Kayla Miller; two great-grandchildren, Kylie Guyer and Dominick Tirpak; and a step-son, Randy Griffith and wife Mary, of Schellsburg. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Linda Wertz and Chatty May; a grandson, Trevor Guyer; and five brothers, Johnny, Alton, Paul, Eddie, and Roger Growden.

Shirley retired from Hedstrom after 30 years, and also worked at the Bedford Elks Lodge, and North Fork Country Club, in Johnstown. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 11 a.m., in the Chapel at the Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, in Bedford, with Pastor John Hollis officiating. Burial at Fellowship Cemetery. Friends will be received on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.
