Meyersdale, Pennsylvania - Shirley Lee Martz, 86, Meyersdale, Pa., passed peacefully Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Conemaugh Meyersdale Medical Center.

Born May 3, 1936, in Southampton Township, she is the daughter of Melvin and Grace (Clitz) Kennell.

She was preceded in death by parents; husband, Herman G. "Junior"; son, Randy; granddaughter, Nikki; and brothers, Billy and Leroy "Booty" Kennell.

Surviving are her children, Sandra (Rex) Stone, Sharon (Leroy) Emerick, Ed Martz, and Roger (Ina) Martz; grandchildren, Jaime (Mark) Lohr, Christopher (Kathleen) Stone, Matthew (Joey) Emerick, Timothy Emerick, Eddie Jr., Randy, Amanda, Roger Jr., Herman, Kenneth, Kyle, Courtenay, Chase, and Colt Martz, and Tori and Aden Kline; great-grandchildren, Kyley and Mallory Emerick and Kaylee Wojnarowski.

She attended Hyndman schools and was a member of New Hope Church and Meyersdale American Legion Auxiliary.

Family will receive friends at Deaner Funeral Home, Berlin, on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and on Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

A viewing will be held at New Hope Church from on Saturday from 1 p.m. until service at 2 p.m.

Pastor Steve Kontaxes will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery, Glencoe.
