Shirley Mae Rowzee
Shirley Mae Rowzee, 83, of Paw Paw, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019, at Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va.
Born May 21, 1936, in Paw Paw, she was a daughter of the late William T. Jamison and Mary L. Hutson Jamison.
Shirley graduated from Oldtown High School and attended Strayer University. She had worked at Montgomery Ward and the Senior Life Center. She was an active member of Paw Paw United Methodist Church, where she served as a deacon and leader of Bible studies. Shirley was financial secretary for the Paw Paw Fire and Rescue, was an EMT, and wrote the community news for The Hampshire Review.
On May 5, 1956, she married Paul DeWayne Rowzee, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Twila Montessi, of Slanesville, W.Va., and Selisa Noonan (and Steve), of Bristow, Va.; three sons, Michael Rowzee (and Sandra), of Warrenton, Va., Douglas Rowzee (and Terrilynn), of Ridgeley, W.Va., and Robert Rowzee (and Sherry), of Paw Paw; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday, June 10, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Paw Paw United Methodist Church with Pastor Darlene Powers officiating,
Interment was in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
