Cumberland, Maryland - Suzanne Ruth (Kester) Wilson, 91, of Cumberland, Md., passed away Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Lions Rehabilitation Center.

Born Feb. 12, 1935, in Punxsutawney, Pa., Mrs. Wilson was the daughter of the late Florence (Snyder) Robinson and Philip Kester, and stepfather George Robinson.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alvin L. Wilson; and her daughter, Kimberly Durr.

Suzanne was a graduate of Fort Hill High School, Class of 1953, where she was a member of the band and a cheerleader. Upon graduation, she went to Strayer Business College in Washington, D.C., to become a legal secretary. Suzanne was a member of Alpha Iota Business Sorority while attending Strayer.

After Strayer College, Suzanne worked at the Library of Congress in the Legal Department, and later, more recently, she retired from the MVA in LaVale.

Suzanne is survived by two sons, Brian K. Wilson (Doris), Jefferson, Md., and C. G. Wilson (Laurie), Cumberland; and seven grandchildren, Danny Durr (Andrew), Mike Durr, Grant Wilson (Jennifer), Ryan Wilson (Devan), Camden Wilson, Sydney Wilson and Juliet Wilson; as well as four great-grandchildren; and her stepsister, Judy Long (Robert).

She was so proud of her family and their accomplishments.

Suzanne will be cremated per her wishes, and services will be private.
