Frostburg, Maryland - FROSTBURG [mdash] Taffy Pauline Tressler, 51, of Frostburg, Md., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at WVU Medicine-Garrett Memorial Medical Center.

Born June 4, 1974 in Meyersdale, Pa., Ms. Tressler was the daughter of the late Chuck Tressler and Pauline (Roth) Tressler. She was also preceded in death by her companion, Jeff Crabtree; a sister, Karain Thompson; and a brother-in-law, Howard Skidmore, Jr.

A homemaker, Taffy is survived by her siblings, Marvin Tressler (Jessica); Theresa Skidmore, Gary Thompson, Sr. (Pat), and Kennith Thompson Sr.; as well as her nieces and nephews, Ashley, Brandy, Jerry, Gary, Jr., Patrick; and special friends Lei and Norita.

Taffy took pride in always dressing stylishly, usually always with a pretty scarf, frequently with a hat. She had a unique personality and style, and believed in always looking at the positive. She loved people, made friends easily and truly cared about them; enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Taffy loved to cook and was very good at it; always watching the Food Network and scanning Facebook for recipes and ideas. She loved black labs, and hers was named Emerson; Taffy always shared stories about her and how smart she was.

After our mother's death in 2019 and with her developing health issues she started seeking God, and her bother-in-law, Howard (that she helped care for and had a special relationship) was able to counsel her to draw near to Jesus. Hers wasn't a perfect walk but it was sincere and Jesus sees the heart and answers those who seek him earnestly.

Friends will be received at Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur Street, Cumberland, MD (www.adamsfamilyfuneralhome.com) on Sunday, July 27, 2025 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. A memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. with Pastor Sandy Cowan officiating.

Inurnment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made in her name to Hospice of Garrett County, 203 S 2nd Street, Oakland, MD 21550.
