Hagerstown, MD - HAGERSTOWN [mdash] Thomas Edward Martin, 74, of Hagerstown, passed away, Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025, at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Born in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Claude Edward Martin and the late Julia Ercell (Seymour) Martin Pariser.

Tom graduated from Bishop Walsh / LaSalle High School in Cumberland, class of 1968, and later from Mt. St. Mary's University where he earned B.S. and MBA degrees.

Tom was the owner of Colonial Distinctions LLC for 37 years.

He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. He was also a member, and past president, of Fountain Head Country Club, and board member and treasurer of the Washington County Historical Society.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Alice Martin; sister, Carole Abbott, and her children, Michelle (Michael) Billington, Tara (Rod) Smith, and John "JT" Abbott; and her grandchildren, Alexa and Jake Smith.

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated on January 31, 2025, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 224 West Washington Street, Hagerstown, with the Rev. James Boric as celebrant.

Interment was at Mount St. Mary's Cemetery in Emmitsburg.
