New Creek, WV - Thomas Wayne "Tom" McCoy, 73, of New Creek, W.Va. passed away peacefully with his family by his side on May 18, 2025, at his home.

Tom was Born on August 14, 1951, in Keyser, W.Va., he was the son of the late Glenn and Pauline Miller McCoy. He worked for Dominion Energy at the Mt. Storm Power Station, a member of the Rees Chapel United Methodist Church in New Creek, W.Va., a United States Army Veteran, a 1969 Keyser High School graduate and a member of the American Legion Post # 41 in Keyer. Tom enjoyed farming, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.

Tom married Judi A. Huffman McCoy on February 17, 1989, in McHenry, Md.

Surviving with his wife of 36 years are his children, Elizabeth A. Voit and husband Matthew of Slanesville, W.Va.; Lucas W. McCoy and wife Heather of New Creek, W.Va.; his brother, Donald McCoy of New Creek, W.Va.; seven grandchildren, Savannah, Paige, Sydney, Max and Averi Voit, and Alyssa and Kinsley McCoy.

Tom is preceded in death along with his parents by two brothers, Arnold and Allen McCoy.

Friends and family will be received at the Smith Funeral Home on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Pastor Nathan Epling. Interment will follow in the Potomac Memorial Gardens near Keyser, W.Va.
