Short Gap, West Virginia - Travis Paul Bradley, 40, of Short Gap, W.Va., died Monday, Aug. 7, 2023, at UPMC Western Maryland.

Born May 5, 1983, in Cumberland, he was the son of Brian P. Bradley and the late Sandra "Sandi" (Shewbridge) Bradley.

Travis was a graduate of Frankfort High School, class of 2001. After high school, he attended Frostburg State University, where he majored in Art and Graphic Design. He had previously worked at American Woodmark, until recently starting his dream job as a Conductor with CSX.

Travis loved trains and was a member of the Maryland and West Virginia Model Railroad Association. He also enjoyed gaming, Airsoft, loved history, and studying and visiting battleships. It was said that Travis was a "book of useless knowledge," answering Jeopardy! questions, and surprising friends and family with information about random topics that the average person wouldn't know. Travis was always up for an adventure, and after a long day, could be found relaxing, smoking a cigar, and sipping a glass of bourbon.

Above all else, Travis loved the time spent with family, especially his wife and children.

In addition to his father, Travis is survived by his wife, Nichole Bradley; daughters, Layna Belle Bradley and Maggie May Bradley; stepdaughter, Danielle Alexis VanMeter; siblings, Trevor Bradley and wife, Kayla, and Trent Bradley and girlfriend, Becca Smith; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Cathy and Steve Wotring; sister-in-law, Bethany Wotring; brother-in-law, Stephen Wotring and wife, Hannah; and nieces and nephews, Landen, Aiden, Ava, and Alyza Bradley, and Jared Wotring.

Friends will be received at the Upchurch Funeral Home, P.A., Cumberland, Friday, Aug. 11, 2023, from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m.

A memorial service will be held at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, Short Gap, on Saturday, Aug. 12, 2023, at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
