Cumberland, MD - Vaughn Eugene Tabler, 74, of Cumberland, passed away Monday, Oct. 20, 2025, at home.

Born July 6, 1951, in Cumberland, he was a son of the late Robert Eugene Tabler and Dorothy M. (Getz) Tabler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James A. Tabler; and brother-in-law, Danny E. Jackson.

Vaughn was a 1969 graduate of Fort Hill High School. He went on to work for Island Creek Coal, then for the United States Postal Service - first as a mail carrier in Oakland, Md., then as a clerk in Cumberland.

He was a member of the American Legion Post 13 and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles.

In his free time, he enjoyed fishing.

Surviving are his wife, Robin Tabler; son, Shaun Tabler and girlfriend Teresa Morozek; sister, Sandy Hansell; brother, Robert Tabler and wife Wanda; sister-in-law, Darlene Jackson; and a number of nieces and nephews.

At his request, Vaughn will be cremated, and services will be private.
