Cumberland, MD - Vera Mae (Murphy) Mullaney, 92, passed away July 18, 2026. She was born Aug. 1, 1933, in Frostburg, Md., to the late William and Cora (Rinker) Murphy.
Vera is preceded in death by her husband, Edward "Red" J. Mullaney; son, Shawn A. Mullaney; brother, Warren Murphy; sister, Lyla Holliday (Jack); and brother-in-law, Wilfred Crowe.
Vera was a homemaker who loved taking care of her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen R. Price (Greg); grandchildren, Alan Mullaney and Ashley Darr (Mike); great-grandchildren, Michael and Conner Darr; sister, Pat Crowe; and survived by many nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Visitation will be Monday, July 27, 2026, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Scarpelli Funeral Home, 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, MD 21502. A service will be held at Scarpelli Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 28, at noon, with visitation one hour prior.
