Vicki Rae Klavuhn Obituary

Short Gap, WV - Vicki Rae Klavuhn, 71, of Short Gap, W.Va., departed this life for eternity with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 17, 2025.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, being preceded in death by her parents, the late Alston and Loretta (Decker) Timbrook; brothers, Mike Timbrook and wife Linda and Scott Timbrook. She also was preceded in death by her unborn child, lost in miscarriage not long after her marriage...a child she longed to meet one day in Heaven.

Vicki is survived by her husband of 50 years, Gary, and her children who she loved with all her heart; her first born son, Chris; a son, Timothy who lives at home and was a special comfort to her; her daughter, Molly Laraway and husband Les; and her daughter, Susan Fetters and husband Bobby. She is survived by her grandchildren, Austin Laraway and wife Brooke and Chris' children, Blake and Brooklyn Klavuhn. She is also survived by her stepchildren and step grandchildren, all of whom occupied their place within her heart; Nic Laraway and his fiance Rachel and their children, Emilee and Olivia; R.B. Fetters and his children, Braelyn, Briella, Marley and Remi and Ryder Campbell. She is also survived by Matthew Timbrook, the son of her beloved brother, Scott and former sister-in-law, Connie Timbrook Spitzer.

Vicki was a 1971 graduate of Keyser High School and a 1973 graduate of Potomac State College. After graduation, she worked for a time as a secretary for the WV Department of Highways, before devoting her life to raising her children. She believed that being a homemaker was God's expectation for her. Her greatest joy in life was talking to her children every chance that she got.

Vicki was a "born again" Christian, who held up Jesus as her Lord and Savior. Although heartbroken, the family is comforted by knowing II Corinthians 5:8 says "to be absent from the body...(is) to be present with the Lord."

As per her wishes, there will be no public visitation or services. A private family graveside service will be held at the Biser Cemetery, Knobley Road, Keyser.

The Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.

Condolences may be left at: smithfunealhomes.net.
