Virginia Lee Cuthbertson Obituary

Frostburg, MD - Virginia L. Cuthbertson, 82, of Grahamtown, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2026, at Mountain City Rehab Center.

Cookie was born on Feb. 1, 1944, in Frostburg to the late Howard and Alma (Bittner)Holtzman. In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her husband, William Robert Cuthbertson; sisters, Geraldine Walls, Alma Jean Driscoll, Erma Loera Thompson and Martha Baker; brothers, Edward and Howard Holtzman.

She spent many years working as a bank teller, where her kindness and easy conversation made customers feel like friends. She loved baking homemade bread, cinnamon rolls and other delicious treats for family and friends, especially at Christmas. Anyone who knew Cookie knows she loved shopping and talking on the phone. In recent years, she discovered a wonderful talent for painting and especially loved creating canvas portraits — most famously of her adored"grand-dogs". Her creativity, generosity and love for her family were reflected in everything she did.
