Virginia Ann (Powell) Clark Obituary

Ridgeley, WV - Virginia Ann (Powell) Clark, 80, of Ridgeley, W.Va., entered God's kingdom on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.

Born on Aug. 3, 1944, in Cumberland, Md., she was the daughter of the late Walter "Ben" and Helen Powell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank A. Clark who passed Oct. 31, 2024, and they had been married for 61 years on Oct. 26, 2024; and her brothers, Randy Powell, Dennis Powell, and Bennie Powell; and an infant sister, Jeannie Powell.

Virginia graduated from Ridgeley High School with the class of 1962. After graduating, she went on to work at the Department of Welfare in Moorefield, W.Va., and then, at the Kelly Springfield Tire Co. until she started her family.

A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and an embodiment of unconditional love, Virginia touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Through her Christian faith, she lived a life dedicated to kindness, compassion, and selflessness. Her love knew no bounds, offering support, encouragement and warmth to family and friends.

She enjoyed spending time at their camp, gardening, reading books and her Bible. She was a lifelong member of Faith Assembly of God Church, and most recently attended Wesley Chapel Methodist Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Helen Carder and husband Tom; sons, Patrick Clark and wife Amy, Timothy Clark and wife Karen, Michael Clark and girlfriend Amy McCarty, and Shawn Clark and wife Cheryl; twelve grandchildren, Amanda Clawson (Ron), Katie Blankenship (Zach), Dougless Clites (Zach), Joshua Carder, Ryan Clark (Stephanie), Ein Clark, Erin Clark, Cullen Clark (Morgan), Jachob Clark, Kenley Clark, Khloe Clark and Ivie Clark; four great-grandchildren, Atticus, Sawyer, Jensen, and Miles; brothers, Paul Powell (Ann), George "Doug" Powell (Tammy); sisters-in-law, Georgia Powell, Bonnie Powell, Carol Ours, Nancy Clark; brother-in-law, Jerry Gentry; and a large extended family with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, March 10, 2025, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland.

A funeral service will be Tuesday, March 11, 2025, beginning at 12 p.m., at Wesley Chapel Methodist Church, 128 Wesley Chapel Rd, Ridgely, W.Va.; visitation will be one hour prior to service.

Interment will follow with her husband in Abe Cemetery.
