McConnellsburg, PA - MCCONNELLSBURG, Pa. [mdash] William "Bill" Harrison Barnes, 66, of McConnellsburg, passed away Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, at home.

Born May 1, 1959, he was the son of the late James Walter Barnes Sr. and Ethel Delores (Allison) Barnes. He was also preceded in death by his older brother, James Walter Barnes Jr., June 21, 2024.

Bill was a 1977 graduate of Flintstone High School and continued his education at Iowa Central Community College.

He is survived by his sister, Belinda McKenzie, and partner, Kathy, of Gainesville, Fla.; sister Patricia Kisamore, and husband, James, of Bedford, Pa.; brother, Terry Barnes, and wife, Dawn, of Centerville, Pa.; as well as 6 nieces and nephews, and 12 grand-nieces and -nephews.

Bill was known for his extraordinary sense of humor, infectious laugh, and quick wit. He loved to play cards, spend time with friends and family, and dote on his kitties. He was a loving, caring, wonderful person and his legacy will live on in those that loved and cherished him.
