William Henry Stine Obituary

Keyser, WV - William Henry Stine, 86, of Limestone Road, Keyser, W.Va., died Thursday, April 17, 2025, in LaVale, Md.

Born on Aug. 29,1938, in Keyser, W.Va., he was a son of the late William Henry and Dorothea Regina (Ord) Stine. He also was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothea Ross.

Mr. Stine was a 1956 graduate of LaSalle High School in Cumberland, Md. and spent his entire career working at the Westvaco Luke Mill as a machine room operator, retiring after 44 years of service. He attended the Church of the Assumption in Keyser. He enjoyed traveling, horse racing, fishing and railroads.

Surviving is his brother-in-law, John Edwin Ross, Jr. of Westernport, Md.; nieces and nephews, John "Jack" Ross and wife Nina of Moab, Utah, Jill Ross of Morgantown, W.Va., Jeffrey W. Ross and wife Stacy of Hellertown, Pa., Joy M. Musgrave and husband Jeffrey of Paden City, W.Va.; grand nieces and nephews, Helen F. Ross, Katherine T. Ross, Owen J. Ross, Elana B. Ross and Joshua R. Musgrave and many cousins. He is also survived by his special adopted family, Brenda Simpson and husband David of Winchester, Va., Cheryl Crum of LaVale, Md., Elizabeth Sisler and husband Ron of Cumberland, Md., and Steve Fike and wife Jennifer of Gates, Tenn.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Church of the Assumption, 34 James Street, Keyser, on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 10 a.m., with Father Dan Price as celebrant.

Private interment will be in the Saint Peter's Cemetery, Westernport, Md.

The Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
