Yvonne Marie (Winner) Marmion
MANASSAS, Va. - Yvonne Marie (Winner) Marmion, 74, of Manassas, formerly of Cumberland, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2020, in Manassas.
Yvonne was born in Cumberland, to Alma Ruth Mosser and Verner J. Winner on Oct. 2, 1945. She graduated from Catholic Girls Central High School in 1963. She was married to William Robert Marmion on June 29, 1974. in Baltimore. Yvonne worked at Super Fresh in Towson, as a meat cutter in the deli department for 22 years. Prior to her marriage, Yvonne was a nun (Sister Dominic Marie) with the School Sisters of Notre Dame and taught first grade at Most Precious Blood Catholic school for five years.
Yvonne is preceded in death by her mother, Alma Ruth Winner Thomas; her father, Sgt. Verner Joseph Winner; as well as her husband, William Robert Marmion.
Yvonne is survived by her sister, Patty Hook; daughter, Julie Marmion; step daughter, Beth Bagent and husband, Paul; son, Shawn Marmion and wife, Laura; son, Eddie Marmion and companion, Lori Nilsen; grandchildren, Joshua Grimes, Lorelei and Shawn Marmion Jr., Monica Dixon, Jasmine & Emily Marmion and Angelina Bagent. Also surviving relatives, her niece Cindy Hook and nephew, Kevin Hook.
Prior to her death, Yvonne was living with her cousins, Linda and Mark Winner of Haymarket.
Friends will be received at the Adams Family Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, (www.AdamsFamilyFuneralHome.com) on Monday, Jan. 27, 2020, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Chaplain Paul Demers officiating.
Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Shawn Marmion, Eddie Marmion, Joshua Grimes, Mark Winner, and Kevin Hook.
